About the Artist
When I was little I would take a stamp and inkpad and make stacks of “money”. I was pretending to counterfeit, even weathering the paper so it looked like it had been in circulation for a while. I got a kick out of duplicating the same thing over and over.
Things have come full circle, but instead of being a counterfeiter, I’m a printmaker!
There’s something fascinating about being able to turn my artwork into a form that I can make prints of myself, without the use of an inkjet printer. The entire process is in my hands, and entirely handmade.
All my work is drawn, carved, and printed by me! I take great pride in the quality of my prints, getting a crisp even image and the feeling that the ink is one with the paper.
Many of my designs are inspired by personal encounters with plants or animals I’ve photographed or sketched myself. I love having a physical connection to the subjects in my art.
